The Late Summer Retreat is Fully Booked, Booking for the October Harvest Table Retreat Coming Soon 〰️
A weekend built around the culinary highlights of the Driftless — its farmers, its cheesemakers, its winemakers, and its chefs. The program moves through a farmers market morning, a Driftless wine and cheese grazing lunch at the American Wine Project, a hands-on cooking demonstration using that morning's market finds, and a farm-to-table dinner at The Book Kitchen. It is one of the only dining experiences in the country that literally puts guests at a table inside a bookstore.
Two nights lodging in a beautifully restored historic home on High Street. All meals included. Maximum six guests.
There is nothing to book, nothing to arrange, and nothing to think about except showing up.
From $725 per person · All inclusive

The Harvest Table October 9–11, 2026 · Bookings available soon
In October, the Driftless is at its peak. The Harvest Table weekend is built around the harvest itself — the land, the orchard, the table.
Friday evening begins at the house — a warm welcome, drinks, and a casual dinner. Time to arrive before the weekend asks anything of you.
Saturday is a full Driftless day. We begin with the land: a guided walk through the Merry Christmas Mine Hill Trails and Prairie, tracing the story of the Cornish miners who shaped Mineral Point from the 1830s onward — badger holes, mine shafts, ore carts, and sweeping views of the Driftless in autumn color. The afternoon moves to The Cider Farm, where rare English and French cider apple varieties grow in the hills outside Mineral Point — an orchard tour, a tasting through the season's offerings, the harvest happening around you. The evening is dinner at the American Wine Project — a chef-cooked harvest meal, local ingredients, the season's ciders alongside. One long table.
Sunday is a slow breakfast at the house and a quiet departure — with enough local knowledge in hand to keep exploring if the weekend isn't quite finished with you.
Maximum six guests. All-inclusive.
The Literary Driftless — A retreat for those who love books, writing, and the places that inspire both. Set in the heart of Mineral Point — a town where an independent bookstore, an independent publisher, and a celebrated cookbook author share the same few blocks of High Street — this gathering is built entirely around the literary life of the Driftless. Dates and details coming soon.
The Artists & Makers — A weekend centered on the creative community that has made Mineral Point one of the great quiet artist enclaves of the Midwest — studio visits, maker conversations, and a town that has been drawing creative people for generations. Dates and details coming soon.

Where You’ll Stay
The Jones House · 311 High Street
The Jones House dates to the 1870s, built during Mineral Point's first boom — when Cornish miners came for the lead and stayed for the hills. Carefully restored and flooded with natural light, the house is spacious with airy rooms, high ceilings, and the kind of generous proportions that invite you to spread out and slow down. Guests have full access of the first floor living areas, including a sunroom that catches the afternoon light beautifully and becomes, for most guests, their favorite spot in the house. Guests stay on the second floor in four private rooms — two queen bedrooms, a single room, and a loft with twin beds. All guests share a generous Victorian bathroom stocked with luxury linens and toiletries — a clawfoot tub, walk-in shower, and two pedestal sinks.
Rates are all-inclusive — two nights lodging, all meals, drinks and programming. A deposit of $200 per person holds your room. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
