Our Story
On a summer evening in a town we did not know existed, my husband I were exploring southwest Wisconsin in search of cycling roads when Mineral Point stopped us in our tracks.
The rolling hills, the light, the particular quality of the landscape in summer — it felt like Tuscany, like Provence, like the fields of Flanders where my husband was born and raised. On an evening walk after dinner we passed an Open House. We went in and never really left.
What we found in Mineral Point was more than a house. It is a town full of people who love where they live and keep asking what comes next — makers, artists, farmers, chefs building something quietly remarkable in the Driftless. A town that has been drawing creative people for generations and shows no sign of stopping.
As a designer, my focus has always been on slow, intentional curation — using what's already beautiful and elevating it. And my art consulting practice centers on local artists and the stories behind what they make. Mineral Point felt like the place those two things had been pointing toward.
Still Point is the next chapter — a place where design, art, food, and landscape converge into something I've been building toward my whole career.

Our Town
Mineral Point is not like other small towns.
Mineral Point is a historical town of 2,500 people and more galleries per capita than most cities ten times its size. It has been an artist enclave since the 1930s when a pair of painters discovered the Cornish stone cottages and decided to stay. The makers followed. The chefs followed. The food people followed.
Mineral Point has the bones of a mining town — limestone buildings, steep streets, a particular stubbornness — and the soul of a place that has always attracted people who care deeply about what they make.
Still Point is rooted here. Not just located here.
